. . . failure of other
Pyrolysis Systems
... too Complex ... Huh ? ?
Brilliance is Simplicity ...
... we figured it out ... they haven't!
In addition to confirming all the technical aspects, key conclusions of the Director of Engineering and Principal Scientist for EBASCO Services* from his technical and economic evaluation of our commercial pyrolysis plant in Redwood City, California are listed below: (emphasis added)
* EBASCO Services, Inc. ... a premiere engineering company in the power/industrial world and the largest Engineering/Construction company in the world at the time.
"The problems associated with [the other systems] have convinced most experts in the urban waste disposal business that a reliable pyrolysis system is many years away."
He goes on to say "The obvious question then is what caused the problems with these systems and what is different about the [PES] technique which makes it ... succeed?"
"... the [other systems] are complex systems developed by scientists and designed by highly sophisticated engineers ... Additionally, the scale-up from ... a demonstration plant to a full-scale commercial plant, required major design assumptions."**
** In translation, that means their complexity and unsuccessful scale-up design led to constant operational failures and massive cost overruns.
"The [PES] system, ... is of an uncomplicated design. ... The design provides for
operational flexibility and
easy maintenance, and is of
modular concept which precludes scale-up problems ..."
