INCINERATION
must be
STOPPED ! ! !
Pyrolysis IS NOT INCINERATION ! ! !
Pyrolysis produces clean renewable energy referred to as RNG, Renewable Natural Gas,by heating hydrocarbon feedstocks such as waste material, NOT BURNING. There is no combustion as the chemical change is brought about solely by the action of heat to produce clean renewable energy RNG.
INCINERATION is defined as the DESTRUCTION of something, especially waste material, by BURNING as in "waste disposal by incineration".
BURNING TRASH IN INCINERATORS releases various types of emissions including:
Lead, mercury, dioxins and furans, particulate matter, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, acidic gases (i.e., SOx, HCl), metals (vanadium, manganese, nickel, cadmium, lead, mercury, chromium, arsenic and beryllium), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and brominated polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHS).
Highly toxic fly ash that must be disposed safely. This usually involves a toxic waste landfill.
Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) has elevated levels of heavy metals with ecotoxicity concerns.
