"NET ZERO" EMISSIONS?
Why not
"ZERO MINUS"
... we need an energy technology that can begin purifying our Environment
PYROLYSIS can annually REDUCE TOTAL U.S. METHANE emissions by 26%, a stunning reduction! It also can eliminate the need for 1.5 BILLION BARRELS of oil equivalent (BOE) annually from the oil & gas industry in the U.S. alone. Pyrolysis can mitigate, eliminate or facilitate the following:
TRANSITION AWAY FROM OIL & NATURAL GAS! Remember what happened when the Colonial Pipeline got hacked and held for RANSOM? The East Coast TEETERED on the brink of DISASTER! We need to TRANSITION away from society's dependence on oil & natural gas.
LANDFILLS: Methane gas is leaking into our atmosphere and rotting garbage is seeping into our underground aquifers through cracked landfill liners and, worse, landfills without any liners. Landfill emissions contribute 17% of the annual methane emissions in the United States
FOOD WASTE: When part of landfill waste, it contributes to methane gas by decomposing and contributes to the leaking into our atmosphere and rotting garbage that seeps into our underground aquifers. When composted, methane emissions are still released.
PLASTIC CONTAINERS & BAGS: billions of plastic containers & bags are being disposed in Landfills and, worse, discarded or dumped into our pristine lakes, reservoirs, rivers and oceans. Marine life is being threatened!
CARDBOARD & PAPER BAGS: Cardboard & paper bags form a significant source of waste that ends up in landfills producing methane gas and becoming part of the rotting garbage that is seeping into our underground aquifers.
SEWAGE SLUDGE: Most regions dispose of sewage sludge in landfills, some compost it. Even if composted, methane gas is released into our atmosphere. The sludge & compost contain Micro-Pollutants and Hazardous Waste including HEAVY METALS; Lead, Arsenic, Chromium, Cadmium, Barium, and more leaching into our underground aquifers.
MANURE: Animal feces from livestock contribute 9% of the annual methane emissions in the United States.
OIL SPILLS: Miles of water and beaches are contaminated. Spilled oil and raw gas release result in severe damage to our oceans, coastline, marine & terra wildlife and our atmosphere.
Remember the DEEPWATER HORIZON Oil Spill off the Gulf Coast?
The estimated volume of leaked crude oil is 210 million gallons ! ! ! How many billion cubic feet of RAW natural gas (80% - 95%+ methane) were released into the atmosphere?
The spill directly affected 70,000 sq mi (180,000 km2) of ocean, the size of Oklahoma.
It contaminated 1,074 mi (1,728 km) of coastline in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. It killed uncountable millions of fish, crustaceans, aquatic animals & plants, marine birds and mammals.
